The end of June marks the fiscal year end for some, and while it’s not the end of the year that we all celebrate, we can use this time as a reminder to check in and level set our plans, goals, and expectations for the rest of the year.
The latter half of the year is sure to be greater than the first half. How do I know that you ask? Well, there are a couple of tools you can employ to ensure you finish 2019 on target with sights set on 2020.
The first tool is reflection. Reflect on the last few months. What new insights have you acquired about yourself, those with whom you engage, and any activities you embarked upon? With insight from your reflection, you may be armed to move forward.
The next tool is to set SMART goals. That is, make sure your goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-specific. Then, plan the next logical step to help you reach your year-end goals. As you complete one step the next step will reveal itself to you. In just six more months we will see 2020!
